About
webHancer Corp. measures web site performance from the perspective of millions of end user desktops, giving businesses a detailed view of end users' preferences and behavior as they traverse the company's web site. From a small piece of software installed on millions of end user PCs, webHancer anonymously collects over 60 detailed measurements on every web page visited by every user. This aggregated data is then analyzed and the results sold back on a subscription basis to the owners of web sites.
WebHancer was acquired by Microsoft in Q2 2006.
